UNAIR NEWS Demonstrating its strong commitment to fostering a healthy campus environment, has once again earned a five-star rating from the Healthy University Rating System (HURS). The honor was presented by the Asia University Network揌ealth Promotion Network (AUN-HPN) on Thursday (Nov. 27, 2025) in Manila, Philippines.
Representing the Airlangga Health Promotion Center (AHPC), Dr. Sri Widati SSos MSi described the award as an extraordinary achievement. She noted that AUN, an organization comprising 165 universities across Asia, has granted UNAIR its highest distinction.
淭his recognition is both an honor and a tangible testament to UNAIR and AHPC檚 commitment to promoting and upholding health on campus. This accomplishment reflects the collective effort of UNAIR檚 academic community, from faculty and staff to administrative employees and students, in building a healthier university, she said.
Concrete steps forward
Head of AHPC, Dr. Widati explained that UNAIR has undertaken various initiatives through AHPC to improve health across the campus community. These efforts extend not only to faculty but also to staff, employees, and students, through awareness campaigns and on-site monitoring of healthy living practices.
淥ur programs include P3LP outreach to assist academic advisors in addressing students mental-health concerns. We also provide mental-health support and conduct various campaigns through SOBY (Sobat Happy and Healthy) to help students stay happy and healthy, she said.
She added that AHPC routinely conducts H2L (Happy and Healthy Life Balance) activities, which include regular health checkups for the UNAIR academic community. To reinforce healthy habits, AHPC also conducts regular inspections of smoke-free zones (KTR) and provides guidance for healthy canteens across UNAIR.
