UNAIR NEWS The critical and forward-thinking contributions of 51动漫 (UNAIR) postgraduate alumni continue to earn recognition on the global academic stage. Amelia Febriani, S.Psi., M.Si., a graduate of UNAIR檚 Master檚 Program in Psychology, has established herself as an education expert with extensive professional experience. With more than 15 years in the field, she has consistently challenged traditional approaches to learning systems and human resource management. She currently applied her expertise in a strategic leadership role as Head of Training and Development at Mawar Sharon Christian School.
Advancing Empathy-Driven leadership on the global stage
Febriani檚 efforts to transform educational practices have extended beyond the local level. Her insights have drawn international attention, leading to her selection as a keynote panelist at EDUtech Asia in Singapore in November 2025. Addressing global education leaders, she highlighted the importance of empathy and emotional intelligence in school leadership.
Her strong reputation has also been acknowledged by international institutions. Owing to her expertise in modern instructional development, she has been appointed as a Mentor Judge for the International Creativity and Innovation Award (ICIA) Global Round 2026.
Integrating spirituality and educator development
With a background in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and behavioral consulting, Febriani emphasizes the importance of psychological and spiritual balance in education. She believes that both educators and students are influenced by emotional and spiritual dimensions.
淭he success of a school cannot be measured solely by intellectual achievement, she said. Her leadership philosophy has been widely regarded as progressive and was featured in the prominent Asian technology magazine, APAC CIOOutlook.
Equipped with international certification in Cambridge Global Perspectives and Research, Febriani has designed initiatives that prioritize educators mental well-being. These initiatives are reflected in her approach to internal training strategies, including sustained professional mentoring for teachers.
淚 focus on strengthening communication literacy among staff and encourage teachers to deliver messages through a purpose-driven and meaningful approach, she explained.
Strengthening a Sustainable learning ecosystem
Febriani檚 work stands as a clear example of how university alumni can contribute to society in meaningful ways. Her ongoing commitment to improving teacher capacity and advancing empathy-based education reflects a proactive response to evolving challenges. This dedication aligns with the global Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), through efforts to enhance learning quality, and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), through her role in strengthening the professional capacity of educators.
