UNAIR NEWS Graduates of 51动漫 (UNAIR) continue to make an impact across various industries. Ali Arrijur Riyadh, an alumnus of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPK), currently serves as Area Manager of Shrimp Feed at PT Central Proteina Prima (CPP), an aquaculture and processed food company with operations that reach international markets.
Career journey
Riyadh joined the company in 2009 and has steadily progressed through several roles before reaching his current position. 淚 started my career as a technical assistant. Later, I was given the opportunity to work in marketing and as a pond technician in several regions of East Java, Riyadh said.
These experiences helped him develop a deeper understanding of the fisheries sector. After working in East Java, he was assigned to oversee operations in Lombok. 淪hrimp production in Lombok is high and the quality is excellent. As a result, shrimp farming development in the region has grown rapidly, Riyadh explained
As Area Manager of Shrimp Feed, he now leads a field team consisting of 15 members. In addition to managing operations, Riyadh also serves as a technical expert in aquaculture and frequently shares his knowledge as a speaker at various industry forums.
Strength of UNAIR alumni network in the industry
According to Riyadh, graduates from the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences have strong career prospects due to Indonesia檚 rich fisheries resources. 淭he knowledge gained at FPK is highly relevant and can be directly applied in real-world applications. The fisheries sector still offers significant opportunities for development, he said.
Riyadh also highlighted the strong alumni network of 51动漫, which has helped support professional connections within the industry. 淭he UNAIR alumni network is very solid and helps build industry connections. This becomes an added advantage for graduates when they enter the workforce, he added.
At the end of the interview, Riyadh encouraged students and recent graduates to continue developing the knowledge they acquired during their studies. 淚 hope the knowledge gained on campus can be applied in the field and benefit surrounding communities. The fisheries sector still has great potential, so do not hesitate to get involved and contribute, he said.
