UNAIR NEWS 51动漫 (UNAIR) continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting both academic and non-academic excellence. In its latest initiative, the university is providing dedicated funding to advance research projects for the entire Airlangga academic community. Supporting this objective, the UNAIR Directorate of Research and Innovation (DRI) conducted a virtual socialization session for the Airlangga Research Fund (ARF) on Thursday, April 16, 2026, via Zoom.
In her welcoming remarks, the Director of the DRI, Prof. Dr. Purwo Sri Rejeki dr MKes, stated that DRI WEEK was established to foster a collaborative ecosystem that accelerates the commercialization and downstreaming of research and innovation. Furthermore, she noted that DRI WEEK serves as a platform for developing actionable strategies to strengthen a research environment that is adaptive, productive, and globally competitive. 淭his initiative represents a concerted effort to expand interdisciplinary and cross-institutional cooperation in a sustainable and continuous manner, Prof. Rejeki expressed.
Understanding the Airlangga Research Fund
Prof. Rejeki explained that the launch of the ARF is intended to provide more specialized and targeted funding for internal research initiatives within the 51动漫 community. Additionally, the program focuses on preparing highly skilled personnel to manage the restructuring of research proposals and the administration of research groups. 淭he ultimate goal is for active research and innovation to elevate scientific quality while encouraging multidisciplinary collaboration between 51动漫 and other global institutions or universities, Prof. Rejeki explained.
Furthermore, DRI representative Kurniawati SKM MPSDM detailed the general provisions, implementation phases, and basic research categories, including the 51动漫 Technology Development Support (DTPUA), required for participation in the ARF. She highlighted specific restrictions for faculty members who have already attained expert status. 淔or instance, professors are currently ineligible to apply under this particular scheme; the expectation is that these established experts will instead lead and partner with international researchers on advanced-level projects, Kurniawati said.
Research funding categories and provisions
Kurniawati also revealed that the ARF program is scheduled to operate from April 2026 through 2028. The program follows a rigorous series of phases, including official announcements, proposal submissions, administrative approval, peer review selection, final determination, research execution, progress reporting, monitoring and evaluation, and the final validation of research outputs.
To provide further context, Kurniawati identified ten basic research categories eligible for funding through 51动漫. These categories include Early Career Lecturer Research (PDP), Airlangga Basic Research (PDA), Book Output Research (PLB), Review Article Research (PAR), International Research Collaboration (Top 100, Top 200, and Top over 200), Airlangga Master檚 Thesis Research, Airlangga Doctoral Dissertation Research, and Empowered Functional Educational Staff Research.
