UNAIR IME sets up charging station in Madura

UNAIR NEWS The Electrical Engineering Student Association (IME) at (UNAIR) has successfully completed a community service initiative in Madura by installing a Charging Station (CS) at Talang Siring Beach. This project was carried out with support from multiple stakeholders, including local residents, members of the Talang Siring Beach Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), and several low-carbon startups.

淭his charging station project aims to expand access to clean energy and promote sustainable business innovations, said Dandy, an IME UNAIR representative.

The IME Charging Station (IME CS) is an innovative solution designed to offer charging services to both tourists and the local community. Through this project, IME UNAIR has introduced clean energy technology to the Talang Siring Beach area in Madura.

淭his initiative not only improves convenience and enhances the area’s tourism appeal but also educates the public about the benefits of environmentally friendly energy solutions, Dandy added.

In addition, IME UNAIR has provided guidance to low-carbon startups, raising awareness among villagers and tourism area group (Pokdarwis) members about the significance of adopting renewable and eco-friendly energy sources. 淭his project has sparked growing interest among the community in integrating clean energy technology into their daily routines, he noted.

To ensure the long-term viability of this initiative, UNAIR IME is planning further developments through industry collaborations. Upcoming phases of the project will involve training programs and partnerships with relevant industries.

淯NAIR IME will continue its efforts by offering advanced training for local residents and Pokdarwis workers, conducting regular monitoring and evaluation of the IME CS, and strengthening partnerships with industry leaders to secure technological and financial support, Dandy explained.

He also highlighted the enthusiastic participation of the local community in the IME UNAIR program. 淭he active involvement of villagers and Pokdarwis members reflects the community檚 strong potential to embrace and implement new technologies that can benefit both the environment and the local economy, Dandy concluded.
