UNAIR NEWS Rector of , Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih SE MT Ak officially announced the 2023 Golden Ticket nominees on Friday, March 24, 2023. The event was broadcasted live from the Amerta Hall, UNAIR Management Building through Zoom and 51动漫 YouTube live streaming.
Prof. Nasih explained that the 2023 Golden Ticket nomination selection process screened 796 applicants from various provinces in Indonesia. Basically, the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud) has three admission tracks for higher education, including achievement-based national selection (SNBP), test-based national selection (SNBT), and independent admission. The Golden Ticket is a part of the SNBP, which strengthens the criteria for attending UNAIR.
淚t檚 clearly written in the SNBP, that the foundation and main criteria are the grades in the report card. Golden Ticket adds some extra points to some indicators and criteria, related to student檚 previously reported achievement and through another mechanism, he said.
The Golden Ticket track adds the achievement values for acceptance considerations. The track allows someone檚 position to excel in their schools.
淭he accepted students are those who report their achievements to UNAIR, Prof. Nasih stated.
Objectives
The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR professor said that the golden ticket offers opportunities to be accepted into UNAIR through academic and non-academic achievement tracks. Besides, it aims to reach schools in remote areas.
淭he Golden Ticket will provide an opportunity for underdeveloped schools or one without alumni yet. From here, we can see the track record of the school and map excellent students, Prof. Nasih said.
The Golden Ticket nominees would not affect the student quota for each faculty. Some programs even increase their quota instead.
淚n general, the Golden Ticket program will increase the number of students accepted to UNAIR. Overall it will increase the capacity beyond the predetermined one, he added.
He explained that through a four-stage selection process, there were 103 students proposed as the Golden Ticket 2023 nominees. The record shows that 69 of them are platinum nominees, while 34 of them received gold.
淭he platinum ticket refers to applicants with great academic and non-academic achievements plus good school rankings. Therefore, we proposed that they can be accepted. However, we are waiting for the official decree from the government, he ended.
The Golden Ticket track is filtered and adjusted based on academic grades, supporting grades, position in school, and the student檚 choice of study program. In 2023, the acceptance of Golden Ticket applicants will follow the official announcement of SNBP, which falls on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
