UNAIR NEWS The product of听51动漫 (UNAIR听) researchers听was promoted in an international exhibition.听Dento-脽ilaser by Prof Dr Suryani Dyah Astuti MSi, Prof Dr Ernie Maduratna Setiawatie drg, and Deny Arifianto ST MT is on par with the products of other researchers in the SEE Pakistan International 2023 activities on August 23-27, 2023, at the Expo Center, Lahore, Pakistan.
To听UNAIR NEWS听on September 4, 2023, Chief Researcher Prof Dr Suryani Dyah Astuti MSi said she was very proud because Indonesian products could attract international attention.听She also said that Dentolaser had been in a national event for the National Technology Awakening Day (Hakteknas) forum and participated in an international exhibition in Germany.
淎ctivities include听workshops听on听start-ups and, establishing networks and developing products.听Besides that, there were also product presentations and exhibitions which many businessmen from Pakistan attended, she said.
Domestic original product
Prof. Suryani also explained that Dento-脽ilaser is a new product based on non-invasive photonics with local raw materials, apart from that with a Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of 70 percent. With operational costs cheaper than medical costs, this product will be more affordable.
The Dento-脽ilaser product can also help cure several dental and oral diseases. These include periodontitis, dental caries, and root canal or endodontic infections. Other benefits include accelerating healing after tooth extraction and surgery and acupuncture therapy to cure skin infections.
淭his Dentolaser FBM can be utilized and further developed into mass-produced medical devices to help accelerate the healing after tooth extraction, periodontal surgery, acupuncture therapy, and physiotherapy, she added.
Advantages of Dentolaser
This product also has several advantages, such as being simple to use, portable, non-invasive, able to speed up the wound healing process, and customized laser so that they do not cause pain for the patient.
淭his product is important and necessary because systemic antibiotic methods are not yet optimal. Moreover, antimicrobial chemicals are used to treat microbial infections, explained the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) professor.
In the future, she hoped that Dentolaser products would be well-known to the public domestically and abroad and provide great benefits. She also advised doctors who use equipment in their treatment to use innovative products from the nation檚 children to reduce imports and achieve independence of domestic medical equipment. (*)
