UNAIR NEWS Fenix 媼Animal Care app was officially launched on Saturday, July 17, 2021.The application was developed by three students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) 51动漫 (UNAIR), Yohanes Berlian Triwidakdo, Teresa Deandra, Bernadette Caroline Angelica, and one student from the Faculty of Business Economics (FEB) , Astrid Kusumawati, and Marvin Ariel Johannes, a student from Atmajaya University.

Dr. M. Munawaroh, drh., M.M. as the General Chairperson of PB PDHI, in his speech, said that this app would assist animal owners and veterinarians in providing animal health services. He also admitted that he had signed up to become a consultant at Fenix Animal Care.

淎ll veterinarians who will join this app (Fenix Animal Care, ed) must have a practice license. A practice license is useful for identifying veterinarians. So, if there is malpractice, the vet can be held accountable, he stated.

The Fenix 媼Animal Care app is a platform that provides pet needs. This app makes it easier for pet owners to collaborate with veterinarians, rescue, and raise animals in this digital era.Fenix 媼Animal Care has two main features, vet consultationandgrooming.

Vet consultationis a feature that can connectpawrentsto veterinarians with an integrated medical recorddatabase. On the other hand, groomingis a feature to maintain the cleanliness of pets and avoid various diseases.

Yohanes Berlian Triwidakdo or Berlin admitted that Fenix 媼was developed because manypawrentsare still not used to having their pets checked by a veterinarian. He was inspired to bring people closer to veterinarians through the Fenix 媼app, which can be downloaded on smartphones.Fenix 媼is 媼currently waiting for verification from theGoogle Play Store.

However, Berlin feels that the consultation platform is not enough to raise public awareness of the importance of animal health. With the other Fenix founders, he spreads the launching news on social media and in their community groups and holds webinars supported by veterinarians.

淚 feel grateful because Fenix has been supported by many UNAIR community members, from supportive colleagues to lecturers who want to assist, discuss, and share experiences. DPKKA, UNAIR business incubator, and FKH alumni also give their support. Most of the Fenix webinar speakers are UNAIR alumni, he said.

Although Fenix 媼is 媼just started, Yohanes is optimistic that Fenix 媼will continue to grow.He also said that if the habit of critical thinking is developed, there will be morestartupsborn from UNAIR.(*)
