First Time, D3 Veterinary Paramedics Student Association Holds National Science Competition

UNAIR NEWS“ D3 Veterinary Paramedics Student Association of 51¶¯Âþ for the first time held a National Science Competition (PKM) competition.Being held in Vocational Hall, 4 NSC finalists showed their ability to present the results of their research on July 23.

“They (NSC finalists) are from Universitas Brawijaya, Banyuwangi State Polytechnic, Andalas University Padang and 51¶¯Âþ,” said Mohammad Rofiudin, a student of D3 Veterinary Paramedics 2016.

Proposals submitted by the participants, he explained, were selected by the jury.For the final round, there were presentations and question and answer session.For the publications, the committee distributed them through social media such as Instagram, Line, and posters spread in each faculty.

“PKM competition like this is very necessary especially for Veterinary Paramedics students themselves.It inspires students to make achievements, to be creative and the students are concerned about farming, “he explained.

The competition theme was to increase the potential of farming through the latest technology.Implementation from the students were expected and not only in form of research proposal only.

“So it can improve the quality of people’s farms,” ‹‹Rofiudin said.

In the end, according to him, the obstacles experienced by the committee is the lack of human resources.There were only 20 participants.

“We have a very crowded schedules so it is difficult to make time for meetings,” said Rofiudin.

Prof.Dr.Retna Apsari, M.Si., as the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies in her speech motivated the participants tosupport thecompetition.Retna hoped that the participants canexert all their ability to win in the competition.
