UNAIR NEWS In order to improve research quality and quantity by the lecturers, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences 51动漫 held a workshop on Monday, March 6. It was held in Adi Sukadana Hall FISIP UNAIR and was attended by the lecturers, students of master and doctoral programs.
There were two speakers from Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education in the workshop on 淪trategies to Improve Research Quality in University. They were the Head of Applied Research Subdirectorate, Dra. Desmelita, M.Sc., and the Head of Research Capacity Improvement Subdirectorate, Dr. Mustangimah. The workshop was moderated by the professor of Gender Sociology Prof. Dr. Emy Susanti, MA.
In his address, Vice Dean I FISIP Prof. Dr. Budi Prasetyo, M.Si., stated that this research workshop was held to develop and improve research quality. 淭he objective is to support the academicians and students who are obliged to be actively produce publications in reputable and accredited journals at national and international level, said Budi.
The workshop also discussed the 2015-2040 national research roadmap. In the Agenda of National Research (ARN), there are ten fields of research and one of them is social and humanities.
Desmelita stated that the objectives of the research are to develop civilization, science and technology and find the solution to problems. 淩esearch is held to improve competitiveness of human resources as well as to educate the future scientists. Through research, we can carry on the scientific tradition , said Desmelita.
The field of social humanities is related to other research fields but unfortunately, according to Desmelita, the social humanities researches have not been able to explore problems well. The lecturers are expected to be active in research and publish the results.
