UNAIR NEWSÌý“Ìý51¶¯Âþ™s Media and Communication Master™s Program (Medkom) requires graduates to createÌýScopusÌýindexed international publications.ÌýIn line with the Decree of Rector Number 03 of 2019, UNAIR mandates its S2 graduates to haveÌýtheir works published in ScopusÌýindexed journals.
“The organization of an international conference is one of the efforts by programs to improve international publications, both for lecturers and students. It aims to facilitate students to fulfill graduation requirements to have publications.ÌýThe papers are expected to be published in Scopus indexed international journals, “said Dr.ÌýSanti Isnaini S.Sos., MM as Head of UNAIR Media and Communication Program.
With a theme, Strengthening Media and Communication through digital Transformation, the conference will face the presence of the industrial revolution 4.0 in the digital era.ÌýThe participants also discussed wider topics of studies, political issues in the era of political year.
This internationalÌýconferenceÌýwill presentÌýkeynote speakersÌýwho are experts in their fields such as Prof. Dr. Henri Subiakto, Drs., S.H., M.A (UNAIR); Prof. Dr. Hafied Cangara, M. Sc (Universitas Hasanuddin Makassar); Dr. Norizan Anwar (Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia); and Dr. Daphane Tatiana Tolentino Canlas, PhD (University of Philippines Diliman).
“The conference will be attended by 100 participants from various regions in Indonesia, even overseas.ÌýCompared to the previous year, we gained more enthusiasm from participants, ” she said.
In addition, Santi hoped that the international conference will further improve the conduciveness of academic climate and literacy of international publications, both production and consumption, especially for the academics of UNAIR’s Media and Communication Master™s Program.
“TheÌýselectedÌýpaper isÌýplanned to be published in anÌýinternational proceedingÌýindexed byÌýScopus.ÌýWhile the ones not selected will be published throughÌýISBN, ” she added.Ìý(*)
