UNAIR NEWS Scouts Day, which is celebrated on August 14, is a moment for reflection. It was commemorated by Scouting movement student club (UKM Pramuka). 51 (UNAIR) to retake their oath. It was held on Saturday, August 13.
Retaking oath ceremony was marked by Tri Satya reading by leadership of UKM Pramuka followed by the scouts. The ceremony was held in the yard of Student Center UNAIR and followed by the member of UKM Pramuka. It was presided by Haryono Harimurti as unit 623 UKM Pramuka 51 (UNAIR) leadership.
The objective of retaking the oath is to remind us to always build self, the unit and community. Are all we have done pursuant to our Tri Satya oath, said Muhammad Aminudin Gufron, a member of UKM Pramuka UNAIR.
The ceremony was held at eight in the evening to motivate UKM Pramuka UNAIR to always live by Tri Satya and Darma Pramuka (Scout Law) as believed by father of scouting movement Baden Powell.
Baden Powell message to all scouts, Happiness is not found in wealth, nor glory. The path towards real happiness is through being health and strong during childhood so you can be useful for other and enjoy your life.
Gufron also hoped that this ceremony can set an example for others and to be useful in the community through implementation of Tri Satya Pramuka.
Beside having this ceremony, to commemorate 55th Scouts Day, UKM Pramuka UNAIR also shared stickers with messages like Pramuka suka menolong sesama, Pramuka itu disiplin, berani, dan setia, Pramuka itu suka berpetualang, and Pramuka itu rajin, terampil, dan gembira on it. The stickers was given out in Taman Bungkul and Tugu Pahlawan, Surabaya on Sunday, on Sunday August 14. (*)
