UNAIR NEWS “51¶¯Âþ students are familiar with conferences and competitions or various academic activities at global level. It can be seen from the number of students actively involved in prestigious activities conducted by foreign universities and institutions in various parts of the world.
To appreciate the students™ efforts to gain international recognition for the alma mater, Rector of UNAIR through Institute for Community Service (LPM) UNAIR made a policy to assess the activities abroad to be equivalent to the activities of Community Service Program (KKN).
“So, for students who have attended conferences or competitions overseas we consider them already done the KKN,” told the Head of LPM UNAIR Prof.Dr.H. Jusuf Irianto, Drs.,Ìý³Ù´ÇÌýUNAIR NEWS.
According to him, the effort to attend various academic activities abroad such as conference and competition is not easy.Therefore, for the Professor of FISIP UNAIR, the efforts are considered equivalent to doing KKN activities.
“Attending conferences and competitions overseas is not easy.The process is also long.In addition, with this appreciation, the other students hopefully inspired to increasestudent outbound mobility, “he added.
However, Prof.Jusuf added, even though the students who participated in conferences and competitions overseas have been considered done with the KKN, they can still carry out KKN-BBM as usual.
“Those who have been considered completed their KKN still can follow KKN-BBM as usual.If they want, “he explained.“If not,it is okay,” he concluded.
