The seminar was held on Sunday (5/2) and moderated by Syafril Riza, the founder of Today Solution and Passion Enthusiast. Attended by students from senior high schools of the same degree and , this seminar concisely discussed about steps the Madura youth need to take in order to face demographic dividend. As a speaker, Achmad Jayadi proposed that it is unnecessary to wait for the year of 2020 or 2030 to change in order to face demographic dividend.
淣ow is the time to prepare for that, so when the demographic dividend era is here, everyone is ready, explained the lecturer of FEB UNAIR.
Demographic dividend itself is a condition when populace structure is highly beneficial for development. The condition is presumably because the total number of productive age is bigger than the non-productive one; hence the dependency ratio is decreasing. Commenting on the issue, Qurnia Andayani finds community important to deal with change.
淐ommunity encourages us to support each other檚 role and this can bring big impact, explained the Chairman of Indonesia Hijab Model Community.
Moreover, the United Nation of Population Fund (UNFPA) stated that the wise utilization of demographic dividend can bring positive impact to a nation檚 economic growth. Nevertheless, the increasing labor competition rate and high number of unemployment which is at 7.56 million in August 2015 are the challenges need to be dealt with. In the future, Yuliandri Fikri as the Chairman of FORMARA wishes that Madura youth can benefit from demographic dividend and face the challenges; for example by inventing creative economy or community.
