Four Programs Visited by AUN QA Assessors

UNAIR NEWS There are four programs of 51动漫 being visited by assessors of ASEAN University Networking Quality Assessment (AUN-QA).

The programs are bachelor檚 degree programs of Communication Science (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences), Psychology (Faculty of Psychology), Aquaculture (Faculty of Fisheries and Marine) and Development Economics (Faculty of Economics and Business).

Vice Rector I Prof. Djoko Santoso, after the opening ceremony on Tuesday, August 22, said that he hoped the four programs can achieve beyond the target of the university. The four programs were targeted to get score between 4.00 and 7.00.

淭hey must achieve 4 out of 7 scale. It means appropriate. But if they should go for 5 which means more than standard. If they succeed, they are ready for World Class University. It is an assessed process of education, stated Prof. Djoko after the ceremony attended by Board of Quality Assurance , the programs and faculties officials.

The learning aspects assessed by the AUN QA assessors are the expected learning outcomes, programme structure and content, teaching and learning approach, student assessment, and academic staff quality.

Prof. Djoko believed that the assessment will bring impacts on the external institution acknowledgement.

淚f the external parties acknowledge that UNAIR qualities are world class, it will bring some impacts, from human development index aspect, research, grants, competition, innovation and creation. It really affects many things, stated the Professors of Faculty of Medicine.

The assessment will be conducted from August 22 24 in each program. The eight assessors are senior academics of Universitas Malaya and Universitas Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universitas De La Salle Filiphina, and National Institution of Development Administration Thailand.

To date, there have been 9 programs accredited by AUN. They are bachelor檚 degree programs of Medicine, Law, Veterinary Medicine, Apothecary Education, Chemistry, Biology, Management, Public Health and English Literature.

Vice Rector I added that UNAIR will prepare other programs with A accreditation twice to be visited by AUN-QA assessors.

As planned, the AUN-QA certification for bachelor檚 degree program will end in 2020. After that the accredited programs will be ready for international accreditation.

淭he programs with AUN accreditation will be supported for international accreditation. This year, in November, there will be four programs from Faculty of Science and Technology and Apothecary Education to be accredited by ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Degree Programs in Engineering, Informatics/Computer Science, the Natural Sciences and Mathematics), stated Prof. Djoko.
