UNAIR NEWS Faculty of Fisheries and Marine (FPK) has held a journalism contest for its students. This event was a part of journalism workshop held on Tuesday, May 2, in Room C-401 in FPK building.
One of FPK lecturers who is in charged for the event, Annur Ahadi Abdillah said that the journalism workshop was held to train the students in writing. They were trained to communicate through writing. The faculty collaborated with Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) UNAIR for the event.
淚f we can write well, interesting achievements and news can be well published to public, he said during interview on Tuesday, May 30, after the judging was completed.
The journalism workshop can be applied directly to online platform owned by the faculty. Later on, the students can write anything they think interesting and good. Therefore, the sense of belonging of the students is even greater.
Hadi added that sometimes there are good news in the faculty but they are often unpublished to public because there is no willingness and ability to write. Through this event, students are expected to be motivated to express it in writing and photography.
The winners of the contest, with scores accumulated from their writing and photography skill are Monica P, Naufal Shofwan Winandi, Tisa Ayu, Fatimatus Azuhro, Ardiani Putri Rahayu, and Riza N A. They got prizes from the faculty.
One of the participants and the contest, Zulkifli Ghazali said that he was glad that he gained a new insight in writing. 淗opefully we can do it practically right away routinely. It is a new knowledge for me, he said. (*)
