General Secretary Kemenristek Dikti Inspects SBMPTN in Panlok 50 Surabaya

UNAIR NEWS “State University Joint Entrance Test (SBMPTN) was conducted simultaneously today, Tuesday, May 8.Regarding the exam, the Local Committee (Panlok) 50 Surabaya ensured the success of SBMPTN exam in Panlok 50 Surabaya.

In addition, Panlok 50 Surabaya also received a direct visit by General Secretary of Ministry of Research and Technology Higher Education Prof.Ainun Na’im, Ph.D, MBA During the visit, Prof.Ainun had the opportunity to directly inspect SBMPTN implementation process in and Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology.

After visiting the test location, both Computer Based Written Exam (UTBK) and Paper Based Written Exam (UTBC), Prof.Ainun accompanied by Rector and other officials in Panlok 50 also provided exposure and development regarding the implementation of SBMPTN exam in front of the media.

Prof.Ainun said that the implementation of SBMPTN exam in Panlok 50 Surabaya ran well.According to him, it can be seen from the timely exam, the test paper was well distributed, and participants with special needs were also facilitated well.

“I see that all goes well and smoothly,” Prof.Ainun said.

In addition to assessing and inspecting the exam in Panlok with 60,727 participants, Prof.Ainun also confirmed that this year there have been 26 thousand participants nationwide taking UTBK.In fact, in Bandung there were some participants did the exam with android operating system.It was, he said, an effort to give participants easy access to do the exam well.

“And all that is for all,” he said.“In the future I hope the implementation of SBMPTN can continue well and be more flexible,” he added.

In addition, responding to the SBMPTN assessment mechanism is different from previous years.For him, an assessment with no reduction is one way to motivate participants to dare to solve the challenges on each question.

“So, the new rules can provide more space for participants to dare to answer the problem, instead of convicting those who dare not to do,” he said. (*)
