UNAIR NEWS摐Put away your paper for a while, let檚 sing that was the line on the poster spread by International Relations Student Association (HIMAHI) 51动漫 (UNAIR). On Friday evening, May 13, in the corner of building A FISIP UNAIR first floor, some students of HI gathered to enjoy the performances in Acoustic Night, Jam Session 1: Aku, Kamu, Rindu.
The art show was organized simply and neat. Active students and alumni even lecturers were there to enjoy the performances. They were not only acoustic performances, instrumental music, poem musicalization and karaoke were also performed.
Sandrina Salsabila, who was in charge, said that this event was a new program of HIMAHI initiated by her and her groups. 淎coustic night is a new program of HIMAHI Interest and Talent Division, it was my idea as all this time I often see students interest and talents are channeled through sports, less arts, said the fourth semester student.
This HIMAHI interest and talent division in the occasion facilitated students with musical talents. For the performances, HIMAHI provided room to practice and perform such as Acoustic Night.
淎coustic night is a place for students to practice and improvise their talents. There will be another program IR Got Talent, said Sandrina.
Sandrina hoped that it will be an annual event to strengthen ties among HI students from many classes. Furthermore, she also hoped that it could develop with more variations.
淚 am glad that the event ran well, gathered students, alumni and lecturers. For the next occasion, there is a plan to add more performances like stand up comedy or even dances, said the student graduated from SMAN 1 Surabaya. (*)
