UNAIR NEWS –“Human Resources (HR) became the first spearhead to support the steps of 51动漫 to become a world class university”.It was the statement made by UNAIR Director of Human Resources.Purnawan Basundoro, M. Hum.,on Wednesday, November 8.
HR in this case, according to him, includes lecturers and education staff (tendik).Both are pillars that are constantly being pushed towards internationalization.Various policies were issued.For the lecturers, Purnawan stated that his directorate is trying to encourage lecturers to perform three principal missions of tri dharma worldwide.
Furthermore, the urban history expert also added, regarding researches, the lecturers are encouraged to collaborate research with foreign universities.The goal is to publish research in reputable international journals.
“The process of teaching, research, and community service should be at global level.For lecturers who already have international experience, we just need to polish a bit.For the lecturers who don檛 have the experience, we encourage them to go there through courses and study abroad, ” he explained.
For educational staff, Purnawan expected them to follow the policy of the university.Because, he added, their role in supporting UNAIR towards 500 World Universities is equivalent with lecturer.Therefore, various policies for internationalization have been applied.For example, foreign language courses and staff exchanges abroad.
“We issued a policy to encourage the staff to learn foreign language and go abroad.Because of what?The staff must know the outside world.They must have experience and know the work culture of advanced college and campus,”he said.
In the end, Purnawan asserted that the step was taken to change the work culture which is considered not effective.By learning from other campus, he hoped a good work culture abroad can be applied in UNAIR.
“If all this time it is difficult to develop, may be because there is no reference.So, we send them abroad to know the good work culture.Learn the system there so we can be equal, ” he concluded.(*)
