UNAIR NEWS“ National anthem, Indonesia Raya started the inauguration ceremony for vice deans and vice directors of 51¶¯Âþ on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Airlangga Convention Center Campus C UNAIR.ÌýForty-eight officials consisting of vice deans and vice directors were sworn in by UNAIR Rector Prof.ÌýDr.ÌýMohammad Nasih, SE., MT, Ak., CMA.
In his speech, Prof. Nasih said that the inauguration was an important step for officials towards completing the mandate until 2025. He hoped that the vice deans and vice directors could carry out the mandate well and bring prosperity to the community.
“UNAIR is currently ranked 521 in the world. We are entrusted by the Ministry of Education and Culture to enter world’s top 500. The task of the vice deans will be to help the dean take UNAIR to Top 500 globally, “he said.
In a pandemic condition, continued Prof.ÌýNasih, the campus needs the latest innovations to achieve an efficient learning process.ÌýFurthermore, UNAIR is also heading for aSmart University,therefore cooperation and awareness of all parties is a priority.
However, the tough tasks and challenges ahead must be resolved in order to be university that hasExcellence with Morality.ÌýFacility upgrades are also required to bring UNAIR as a university that pioneers innovation.
Prof. Nasih emphasized that it takes hard work, energy, and human resources to solve all challenges. Furthermore, potential research collaborations for the benefit of the community must also be encouraged so that they can bring sustainable benefits.
“In the next five years with the latest research and innovation, UNAIR will be able to become aSmart University.ÌýThis pandemic is our chance to develop and realize our extraordinary ideas, “said Prof.ÌýNasih.
He also highlighted that the flexibility andsustainabilityof online learning must beupgraded because the flexibility andsustainabilityare keys for UNAIR to achieve SmartUniversity.
“In the future, we will minimize the use of materials causing the accumulation of garbage and support the creation of agreen campus,” he said.
“We must encourage research to overcome existing problems, also in the form of contributions, both in science and inproblem solving, to welcome theglory of mankind,” he added.
In addition, curriculum redesign is also needed to improve educational standards. Do not forget to also provide space for students who want to become scientists, researchers, employees, entrepreneurs. As long as it is positive, they should always be supported so they become graduates who are relevant to the conditions of times.
In the end, Prof. Nasih emphasized that the achievements that have been achieved can be continued and improved, he also hopes that the contribution of intellectuality can become good deeds and charity for mankind. (*)
