UNAIR NEWS –听The cooperation between 51动漫 (UNAIR) and several universities from different countries has run well and provided听outstanding听feedback, especially with听Management and Science University听(MSU) Malaysia.听Moreover, with the听World Class University听(WCU) program, UNAIR has been intensifying听exchanges听and several other programs.
One of the programs supporting the WCU program is Information Systems (SI) Bachelor檚 Program UNAIR.听 On July 30, 2019, Head of Information System program, Dr.听Rimuljo Hendradi S.Si., M.Si.听explained that there is a plan for a听double degree program听with MSU Computer Science in 2020. The meeting coincided with a discussion for the听double degree听plan听together with the head of the MSU Information and Computation department.
“The plan for a听double degree听with MSU is in data preparation phase,” said the Head of SI Program.
As a study program that started the听double degree program听at Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) UNAIR chose MSU because the costs are not too expensive.听“As the cost to Malaysia is the same as to Jakarta.听So, the cost is not too expensive.听However, it is located abroad, “he added.
Implementation is carried out in 2020 because many documents are still being managed and there are accreditation issues. “Even though the dean had requested this plan to be realized this year. The large number of documents makes it impossible. It will be realized in 2020, “he said.
Dr.听Hendra also said that the听double degree program听will be realized for new students in 2020. The advanced students only can do听summer school.听Before the program was planned, SI program had sent several students to听summer school听activities听at several foreign universities.
“A few months ago there were four students who joined the听summer school.听There did not only learn in class but also study the culture.听Those who come back are no longer ashamed to mingle with foreign students, “he said.
With this experience, Dr.听Hendra hoped it could be used for the听double degree program听and affect the academic community to be more open with overseas students.听In addition, both parties can develop together for the WCU program.
Meanwhile, Dr.听Lilysuriazna Binti Raya as the Head of MSU’s Information and Computing Science Department added that she chose to collaborate with UNAIR because the culture in Indonesia is no different, especially for halal听food.听“In Indonesia, the culture is no different, especially halal听food.听Hopefully, it can be realized as soon as possible, ” she said.
