UNAIR NEWS– Jember Regency became one of the areas targeted for Community Service Program – Learning Together with the Community (KKN-BBM) activity in 2018.There are 240 students from various faculties in UNAIR ready to serve in three subdistricts, Rambipuji, Tanggul, and Bangsalsari.There are also 26 foreign students participating to learn and serve in the activity.All of them are from CERIA KKN program.
KKN team consisting of officials and students were welcomed directly by the Government of Jember Regency in Pendopo Wahyawibawagraha on Wednesday, July 4.Representing the leadership of UNAIR, Dr.Abdul Samik, drh., M.Sc., as the coordinator of KKN-BBM UNAIR stated that his institution is very grateful for the cooperation and warm welcome from Jember government.
Not only that, the lecturer of FKH UNAIR also explained various KKN-BBM programs that will last until the end of July.According to him, KKN-BBM in Jember Regency also focuses on handling issues related to TKI.
“In fact, we are involving foreign students to KKN in Jember,” he said.“They come from various countries,” he added.
Responding to the statement of UNAIR, Jember Regent dr.Hj.Faida, MMR., said that the KKN that was implemented in Jember regency was, in fact, not just for the students™ interests but also for the government and people of Jember Regency.
“We™re really grateful can be given the opportunity as the place for KKN 51¶¯Âþ,” she explained.
Furthermore, the regent who is also alumni of UNAIR did not forget to give exposure about the promotion of various tourism in Jember regency.For him, KKN in Jember is part of educational tour that continues to be done by Jember regency government.
“In addition to serve, KKN participants in Jember can learn anything such as agriculture, religion, and many things, “he said.“So, I hope KKN students can enjoy, learn, and visit various educational tourist destinations,” she added.
At the end, she asserted that the best asset that a nation possesses is human resources.KKN is one form of science practice that has been obtained from college.
“And, social life is the best practice.Remember, we are doing community service.Therefore, I believe that students have the idealism to put common interests above personal interests, ” she concluded.(*)
