UNAIR NEWS Ksatria Airlangga Floating Hospital (RST-KA) developed by Alumni continues to make relief efforts across the nation. On Sunday, September 30, the hospital headed for Palu dan Donggala, Central Sulawesi which have been hit by earthquakes and a tsunami. The floating hospital had only docked and provided service in Nusa Penida and Alor Island out of the initial 14 islands when the disaster hit Palu. The hospital will dock at Makassar first to get the necessary logistics and equipment.

Sunday evening the volunteers arrived in Makassar and then headed to Palu by Hercules aircraft.
There were five doctors and five nurses of FK UNAIR/RSUD Dr. Soetomo, Yoppie Prim Avidar, dr., SpAn, M. Hardian Basuki, dr., SpOT., Shohibul Hilmi, dr., SpOT., Wayan Dhea Agastya, dr., Yos Kowara, dr. Kemudian Djoko Winarno, Ns., Gozali Asparin, Ns., Randy Yusuf Pratama Putra, Ns., and Lejar Gumawang, Ns, Anang Wijaya, Amd.Kep.

Director of RST-KA, Agus Harianto, dr., Sp.B explained that floating hospital changed its course because disaster victims in Palu and Donggala needed more supports, so the team decided to head for Donggala.This RST-KA ship departed from the port of Alor.
The previous plan, from Alor the floating hospital will go to Southwest Maluku, to provide health services to people who live in small islands near the border in Eastern Indonesia.
KMA Foundation Secretary Suwaspodo Henri Wibowo, dr., Ap.An., MARS., toUNAIR NEWS explained that the initial plan from 19 September to 3 November 2018 there were 14 islands targeted by the floating hospital, Nusa Penida, Alor, Lakor, Kisar, Lirang, Wetar, Leti, Moa, Luang Barat, Luang Timur, Sermata, Babar, Banda, and finally in Wakatobi.
“From the series of agendas on the islands, the ones that have been carried out smoothly and inshaAllah is useful was in Nusa Penida and Alor. Thats why RST-KA ship departed from Alor,” said Dr.Henri.
Dr.Agus Harianto added, the distance that must be covered for the journey from Alor to Donggala is around 730 miles, which is estimated to take around 3-4 days.The floating hospital will stop first in Makassar, which is estimated to dock at the Sukarno-Hatta port.

Almudatsir, Captain of RST-KA ship confirmed, the ship will stop at the port of Makassar to refuel in Makassar.In Palu, the ship will dock at Pantoloan port.
Dr.Henri also agreed that it would be easier to dock in Makassar compared to Galengsong, where the RST-KA ship was made.In Makassar, it will also re-supply the medical and non-medical goods.Such as medicines, catheters, bandages (bandages), and other equipment.
The Secretary of Foundation dr. Suwaspodo Henri Wibowo, dr., Ap.An., MARS., also informed that the floating hospital has been given access to dock in any ports from Directorate General of Maritime Transport of Ministry of Transportation as stated in telegram by Dirjen Hubla number TX-21/IX/DN-18 dated September 24, 2018.
In the telegram, the ports officials are encouraged to support the floating hospital in any way needed, by giving easy access to necessary documents for loading.(*)
