UNAIR NEWS“ In the last day for student registration for SNMPTN, 25,151 applicants have registered to 51¶¯Âþ.Rector of Prof.Nasih said that it was 85 percent of last year™s registration which reached 29 thousand.It is estimated to rise until registration is closed tomorrow, Tuesday, March 6.
Until Monday afternoon, March 5, the study programs whose applicants increased by more than 100 percent is the Off Main Campus Study Program (PSDKU) UNAIR Banyuwangi which offers Accounting, Veterinary Medicine, Public Health, and Aquaculture.
From the 25,151 applicants, the first largest number of applicants were from Public Health Study Program (1662), Management Program (1500), Psychology Study Program (1400), and Accounting Study Program (1370).Since the capacity of each study program is different, the competition rate of the study program is also different.
Based on the competition rates, for SNMPTN line, the first study program with most competition is Nutrition Sciences with 1100 applicants for 27 seats.Second was Technobiomedic study program with 594 applicants and a capacity of 18 seats.
The other study programs such as Medical Education had 1369 applicants for 66 seats, Communication Science had 801 applicants for 33 seats, International Relations had 787 applicants for 33 seats, and the State Administration had 806 applicants for 33 seats.
Through this press conference, the rector appealed to all students to immediately enroll in a course of study that is in demand and in line with their capacities.
“There is still 1.5 days, there is still time for prospective students to think carefully to determine the desired study programs,” said UNAIR Rector.
Professor of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) said, all study programs at UNAIR have high demand.However, there are some study programs with lower competition rates than the previously mentioned favorite programs such as Veterinary Medicine (571 applicants with quota 75) and also Physics (214 applicants with quota 30).
Although there is a surge for applicants compared to 2017, the study programs at PSDKU UNAIR Banyuwangi still have low competition rates.
“The loose study programs can be an option for prospective students who have not enrolled.They can register at PSDKU UNAIR Banyuwangi, which is rather loose than other study programs, ” ended Rector.(*)
