
Airlangga University Faculty of Pharmacy (FF UNAIR) in collaboration with the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) and PT. Jamu Iboe Jaya has successfully held a talk show entitled “Jamu: Traditional VS Millennial” which took place on December 10, 2022.
Through this collaboration, FF UNAIR can hold talk shows that play an active role in increasing public understanding of herbal preparations, processing methods, and their use so that herbs can provide the expected benefits.
This activity was broadcast live through the Zoom Meeting platform and the FF UNAIR Youtube channel so that it can be accessed by the wider community from various backgrounds, so that the knowledge distributed can cover a wide area.
The resource persons presented at this talk show are also great people who come from different fields. The first resource person was Dra. apt. Dwiana Andayani as Director of Registration of Traditional Medicines, Health Supplements and Cosmetics BPOM. Then from the industrial sector, Mr. Perry Angglihartono, who is the Product Group Manager of PT. Jamu Iboe Jaya. Not to forget, Sheila Sabika Amani Naura was also invited, namely Ning Surabaya 2021, which is the millennial generation. Also present were UNAIR FF Professors in the field of botany, Prof. apt. Mangestuti Agil., M.S.
The invitation of speakers from various fields made this talk show even more interesting, because from here the talk show participants could gain knowledge and know perspectives from various sides.
The participants were also free to ask questions to each speaker so that this event became more interactive and the participants also gained a lot of new knowledge.
