Books are a source of various information that can open insights. We can get many things when reading books, such as science, entertainment, and other aspects of life. However, books can also be an offering to appreciate someone’s services. The Faculty of Law, 51动漫, recently held a Book Launching event for its 3 Professors. The book launching held on Monday, 21 November 2022, was attended by the families of the three professors, contributing writers, and the academic community of the Faculty of Law, Airlangga University. At least, there are three books launched. First, a book entitled ‘Transformation of Legal Higher Education in Indonesia’ as a tribute to Prof. Dr. Muchammad Zaidun, S.H., M.Sc. Second, a book entitled ‘The Dynamic of Maritime Law’ as a tribute to the late Prof. Dr. H. Abdoel Rasjid, S.H., LL.M. Third, a book entitled ‘The Dynamic Law of Natural Resources’ as a tribute to the late Prof. Dr. Eman Ramelan, S.H., M.S.
In his remarks, Iman Prihandono, S.H., M.H., LL.M. Ph. D., the Dean, explained that these books were the highest form of appreciation for professors for their services to this educational institution. “This faculty also would not have been as strong as it is if it had not been for the foundation provided for our expected progress. For the sake of our better law generation, “ he said enthusiastically. He also thanked the publishers who had helped publish the books. He also stated that these books are a memory for our teachers for the knowledge they have given. The three books received good reception and sentiment from the professors’ families.
The contents of these three books are a collection of works from contributors. Through an opportunity, Prof. Dr. Didik Endro Purwoleksono, S.H., M.H., as a representative of the contributing authors of the work dedicated to Prof. Dr. Muchammad Zaidun, S.H., M.Sc., explained that the title of the book he presented was phenomenal. This is in line with the contribution of Prof. Dr. Muchammad Zaidun, S.H., M.Sc., who initiated a law higher education laboratory. “What he started really transformed higher education in law, and now the effects are starting to be felt,” he explained.
Prof. Dr. Basuki Rekso Wibowo, S.H., M.S., as a representative of the book’s contributors, also appreciated this activity which, according to him, was seen as a beautiful tradition to respect seniors. Prof. Dr. Sri Hajati, S.H., M.S., as a representative of the contributors to the author of the work dedicated to Alm. Prof. Dr. Eman Ramelan, S.H., M.S., hopes this good tradition can continue. As a general description, he also explained that the book ‘Dynamic of Natural Resource Law’ explains that implementing natural resource law has yet to realize the greatest possible prosperity for the people because of overlapping regulations. This is in line with the field of study of the late Prof. Dr. Eman Ramelan, S.H., M.S..
