Surabaya “ Humas | On (26/11/2022) The Faculty of Social and Political Science, 51¶¯Âþ (FISIP UNAIR) held the blood donation action with Palang Merah Indonesia (Indonesian Red Cross, PMI) Of Surabaya. It was known that the event was a part of the 45th Dies Natalis (anniversary) of FISIP UNAIR at the end of this year. It was noted that there were 51 bags of blood that were successfully collected from the event.
As the screening doctor of the event, dr. Irfan Mahalli revealedthat blood donation has many benefits for both the donor and the recipient (the transfusion patient). Moreover, the need forblood transfusion for the patient continues to increase. This action is also intertwined with the health of the donor because transfusing their blood helps keep their health in prime condition.
In more detail, dr. Irfan also explained that PMI Surabaya feels delighted because they were able to do a collaboration with FISIP UNAIR to hold the blood donation event. œThis kind of event is great because PMI can add the existing stock of blood, FISIP UNAIR friends can come right away to our office if they want to donate their blood regularly, he said enthusiastically.
Not only that, the entire academic community of FISIP UNAIR consisting of the lecturers, staff, and students welcomed this event very well. As one of the representations, Artha Rachma Widiastuti (Public Administration 2019) gave her impression message. œThe previous blood donation was my first experience because I want to try it but was too scared to do so. I was doing the test and Alhamdulillah I qualified to participate. The injection was not hurt, however, the process of taking the blood make me nervous. So far, the event was fun and beneficial, explained Artha.
