UNAIR NEWS Good news came from 51动漫.The university established on November 10, 1954, has officially achieved 465th position of world檚 best universities.It was officially announced by the world ranking publisher Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) on Wednesday, June 9.
At the Asian level, UNAIR is ranked at 113th position. UNAIR also occupies 19th position of the best universities in Southeast Asia, and UNAIR is ranked 4th among the best universities in Indonesia.
淔ollowing the global ranking is proof that UNAIR has confidence in data readiness and good management. This ranking is also our effort to be useful and equal in quality with universities in the world, said UNAIR Rector Prof. Nasih in front of the press on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at AMERTA Hall Campus C.
On that occasion, Prof.Nasih also explained that this achievement cannot be separated from many indicators.First, with a very satisfactory score foracademic reputation, 310,employer reputation, 176, andfaculty/student ratio with356. Furthermore, there are three other indicators that are still being worked on;citations per faculty, international faculty ratio, and international student ratio.Regarding citations, in the last two years, there has been an extraordinary improvement in publications.The results will be seen in years to come.
淐ompared to last year,academic reputation hasimproved by 40 points,employer reputation hasimproved by 96 points, and thefaculty/student ratio hasimproved by 47 points, said Prof.Nasih.
Regardingacademic reputation, he continued, efforts have been made by expanding network with foreign academics.Therefore, the global academic community acknowledges UNAIR better, and the established friendships and collaborations with various parties show equality.
淲e also initiated a strategy to provide optimal added value, especially for students, and have a significant impact both locally and internationally by utilizing the technology optimally. There are also research programs with foreign academics, professor programs, as well as being a member of world-class organizations, ASEAN, and Asia. Also, holding strategic positions in international organizations, he explained.
In the end, he emphasized that this achievement should not make them feel complacent. In the future, under his leadership, the entire UNAIR academic community will continue to improve other indicators in need of improvements, including citation.
淚n 2015, there were only 150 UNAIR publications. Now, alhamdulillah, Unair檚 publications have reached 8,704. In 2020, we added about 3,100 publications. Then, this year until June 2021, there has been an addition of around 800 publications. Thus, we are targeting another Unair檚 position improvement to 300 or 200, he concluded.
