UNAIR NEWS Rector of 51动漫 affirmed 6,780 freshmen in Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) on Wednesday, August 2. They consisted of 5,634 bachelor檚 degree students (S-1), 1,031 Diploma III students (D-3), and 96 Diploma IV students (D-4). They are freshmen admitted from SNMPTN, SBMPTN and Independent admission.
They are admitted in 14 faculties of UNAIR, 372 students in Faculty of Medicine, 155 students in Faculty of Dental Medicine, 256 students in Faculty of Law, 1,216 students in Faculty of Economics and Business, 238 students in Faculty of Pharmacy, 313 students in Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and 761 students Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.
There were 643 students admitted in Faculty of Science and Technology, 425 students in Faculty of Public Health, 222 students in Faculty of Psychology, 503 students in Faculty of Humanities, 242 students in Faculty of Nursing, 305 students in Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, and 1,127 students in Faculty of Vocational Studies.
In his speech, UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, SE., Mt., Ak., CMA said that studying at college is to perfect mindset and behavior. With UNAIR motto Excellence with Morality, the students should not only be intelligent but also have good morality.
淭his mindset perfection is important. If there are students with similar mindset as they were in high school, they will surely not be able to be graduated from UNAIR, said the Professor of Faculty of Economics and Business.
A comedian, Lies Hartanto or known as Cak Lontong was also present in the occasion. He said that he was proud and thankful for being there, speaking on behalf of the parents of the students.
淚檇 like to express my gratitude to UNAIR and the Rector. With great belief and sincerity, on behalf of the parents, I trusted them to the rector and all staffs to teach them to be useful people for the nation, said the alumnus of SMAN 5 Surabaya.
Beside Cak Lontong representing the parents, there was also a guest speaker, the former Deputy of State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Dr. H. As檃d Said Ali. In his speech, he emphasized that the state will not give space to people who wants to violate Pancasila as the ideology.
淚ndonesia is a multicultural country with Unity in Diversity as motto. The state do not intervene the religion and belief, but protect and facilitate them, said As檃d.
The freshmen affirmation ceremony was attended by UNAIR officials, vice rectors, deans, heads of centers, units, boards and institutes. (*)
