UNAIR NEWS The Program of Community Service Learning with the Society (KKN-BBM) from 51动漫 leaves behind a lot of stories about pilot projects. The stories are told from the experience of who serve and learn with the community. This time, a KKN-BBM Team in Gajah Village, Baureno, Bojonegoro, shares stories about reviving catfish cultivation interest which is long asleep. The members of this KKN-BBM group are Zahwaril Hasina (FEB), Nurul Saidah (FEB), Prelecia Dea Ayu Restiana (FEB), Retno Widodo Kusumaningtyas (FISIP), Septia Dian Adikara (FST), Itsna Nihayatul Fitria (FST), Alifa Jaihan Meifira (FKM), Nurul Mawaddah (FKM), Bayu Yudhi Setiawan (Psi), Seha (FIB) and M. Aminuddin Ghufron Ali Musmar (FPK).
Aminuddin Ghufron Ali Musmar, called by the name Ghufron, explained about one of their flagship programs which is catfish cultivation.
淭his catfish cultivation work program is conducted because long time ago in Gajah Village there used to be catfish cultivation using tarpaulin but went out of business, he said.

There were several activities in the catfish cultivation work program. First, dissemination or publication and second is visitation to three cultivation sites whose pools are different from each other.
淔or the dissemination, it was delivered by a speaker from Bojonegoro Fish Entrepreneur Association (APIB) and also a practitioner of high stocking density catfish cultivation, Ghufron said. 淎PIB itself sent their marketing personnel so it will end the story about no one wants to buy fish from the cultivation, he added.
Ghufron who once a Chief of Communication Forum (FORKOM) UKM added that in the visitation, he and his team visited three sites namely Samrani檚 concrete and semi-concrete ponds which produce 3 to 3.5 quintals every alternate day, then Arif檚 concrete and conventional cage ponds, and the last to CV Mina Sejahtera檚 full concrete pond.
淭hank God after the visitation, the locals are enthusiastic to do catfish cultivation once again, he said proudly. 淎nd after this community service, I also make a commitment to keep assisting the locals in doing fish cultivation until they can be independent, he concluded.
