UNAIR NEWS听– After being conducted in Jakarta and Yogyakarta, “RISTEKDIKTI-KALBESCIENCE AWARDS 2018” (RKSA 2018), Innovation for Better Life was held in Surabaya, at Dharmawangsa Hall, Teaching Hospital.
The event held on Tuesday, May 8, presented Dr. Muhammad Dimyati, M.Sc., Prof. dr. Amin Soebandrio, Ph.D, sp.MK., Juliati, S.Si., Apt. M.Biomed., and FX Widiyatmo on听Mass Production Strategy of Research Results To Improve Public Health听.听Not only that, the forum was also attended by representatives of universities and researchers of eastern Indonesia.
Representing UNAIR Rector, Junaidi Khotib, S.Si., M.Kes., Ph.D., Apt.听as Vice Rector IV explained that the problems faced is numerous researches from researchers, institutions, and institutions that lead only to libraries or documents for publication.听It has not been optimally implemented to solve the problems and used by the community.
“More than 80% of all researches.听One of the causes is the aspect of research collaboration with the industry which was not done from the beginning.听When the industry was involved at the beginning of the research there would be guard and design to be applied in the community, “he said.
Furthermore, responding to the challenges, Pre Agusta Siswantoro explained, as听Manufacturing Director of PT Kalbe Farma, Tbk, the event which has been held for 5 times was different from the past events.听Previously, the best of existing or completed researches were selected and awarded.听Now, RKSA 2018听Award 听is awarded as research funding for the best proposals.
“3 -5 best proposals will get funding for a total of 1.5 billion.听We believe that researches reaching the mass production will get benefits, “said Agusta.
Benefits can be felt by consumers in the form of innovative products and the researchers also get royalty or profit sharing.听Then, he said, the industry will get听additional听revenue听and the government gets taxes from the product.听It is very strategic because all get the results.
“We hope after the launch of RKSA 2018 with a new concept, this mass production process can be better.听And our model can be followed by other industries so that industrial cooperation projects and researchers can grow, “he said.
