UNAIR NEWSAirlangga graduated its students who are ready to applied their knowledge in the society. For this September 2016 graduation, there were 3,327 UNAIR students graduated from the education process.
The graduation was held for two days on Saturday, September 24 and Sunday September 25. There were 1,656 students graduated on the first day and 1,671 students graduated on Sunday.
From the total graduated students, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) graduated the most students, about 729 students and then followed with Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) with 544 students. They consisted of students from three year program, bachelor, master and doctoral.
Most students were from bachelor programs with 2,093 graduates, followed with the three year programs with 724 graduates, 473 master graduates and 28 doctoral program graduates.
Be Useful
As the previous graduations, it was presided by UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. M. Nasih, S.E., M.T., Ak., and attended by the officials, either from the university or faculty management. There were also representatives of Alumni Association (IKA UA).
Prof. Nasih in his speech hoped that the graduates can retain the university檚 reputation and hold the motto, Excellence with Morality, firmly. 淏e graduates who make the university proud and try to live up to the reputation of the university, he said. He also hoped that their knowledge can be applied directly in the society. 淗opefully the knowledge can be useful, stay modest and don檛 be arrogant, he added.
After the speech, Rector congratulated the best graduates and graduates with achievements from each faculty. The best graduates in this graduation were 32 graduates and the ones with achievements were 13 graduates.
