UNAIR NEWS –All elements of 51¶¯Âþ have very important roles in supporting UNAIR to be a world class university, including the students.As the most important part in the life of the campus, they have a strategic role.UNAIR Newshas succeeded in collecting various roles of students in supporting UNAIR to become aworldclassuniversity(WCU).
Director of Student Affairs Dr.Hadi Subhan said on Wednesday, November 8, that as the biggest element in UNAIR, the students have enormous potentials, especially in terms of interest, talent, and achievements.
“All of them must be organized and encouraged to be directed to theinternational level,” said Hadi.
Furthermore, for Hadi, in terms of management and leadership, the implementation of international events is also encouraged.In the near future, BEM UNAIR plans to hold an international youth conference involving several students from ASEAN University Network (AUN) countries.
He also explained the various breakthroughs to do in the futrure.One of them is encouraging the students to follow student exchange programs, attend conferences, and competitions abroad.
“Students activities that have international value will always be supported,” he said.
However, that potentials also pose some problems.According to Hadi, the students™ potentials often collide with curricular activities in campus.Sports athletes, for example, they have to practice and leave campus for a period of time and it causes a problem as well.
“Many UNAIR students become gold medal athletes in various competitions.But, on the other hand, their academic is not good.This is what we encourage, so both of them can be balanced and run well, ” he explained.
In the end, Hadi advised all UNAIR students to take full advantage of their potentials.Because, by maximizing their potentials, UNAIR steps into the world’s Top 500 university will be realized.
