UNAIR听NEWS –听Anisakiasis is caused by 听Anisakis spp,听rarely heard and studied in Indonesia. Anisakiasis is included in a zoonosis illness which happens when people eat half-cooked fish. In Japan, it is often happened as the people likes to eat sushi.
This is what motivated Qabilah Cita Kurnianusa Nastiti Sumarsono to conduct research through a sample of tuna fish from Kranji fish landing facility (TPI), Lamongan as it was quite big in the province of East Java.
The master student of Animal Disease and Veterinary Public Health (FKH) wrote a thesis titled 淢orphological Profile of Anisakis spp in Tuna Fish (Euthynnus sp.)听in TPI Kranji Lamongan through Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) Method.
The research result showed that Anisakis spp听found in the fish was Anisakis type I identified as white larvae. 淚 found Anisakis听spp.听type 1 from mucron finding in the posterior part. It can be seen clearly with听Scanning Electron Microscope听(SEM) device as I did in Faculty of Medicine (FK) UNAIR, said Cita.
The research was held for two months, supervised by Dr. Kusnoto, drh., M.Si. and Prof. Dr. Rahaju Ernawati, drh., M.Sc. She was named as the best graduate of FKH master program in September 2016 graduation with GPA 3.95.
During her master study, the alumnus of SMAN 1 Lamongan was also active as lecturer in Animal Husbandry Faculty of 听Universitas Islam Lamongan (UNISLA). She was also a freelance of veterinary medic in Ministry of Agriculture as Head of Animal Health Center in Sukodadi, Lamongan. (*)
