UNAIR NEWS –Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) University of Airlangga been attended by Cambridge University Cambridge College scholarship recipient, Vincentius Aji Jati Kusumo, on Monday (29/05). Aji is a Surabaya-born male, recorded as one of two Indonesian students receiving the Cambridge Gate scholarship in 2015.
This prestigious scholarship is a donation from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. They donated US $ 210 million to people in the world, especially to continue their studies at Cambridge University.
In sharing session which was held at Aula Tirto, Aji explained about his brief experience during study in U.K. He also shared about experience of submission to study in U.K, and registration for Gate Cambridge Scholarship.
In this occasion Aji encouraged students to continue their studies in the U.K due to less number of Indonesia student to study there.
To get Cambridge Gate scholarship is not easy thing and very competitive. It requires GPA of 3.92. In addition, some requirements that must be met are have intention to study, research proposal preparation, and IELTS certificate with score more than 6.5.
“Do not study in U.K if you do not intend to gain knowledge. Do not ever do that if you just want to sightseeing, show off, or just want to get a degree, “said this Newcastle University alumnus.
Furthermore, the most important point is the vision to show the quality as leaders and commitment to provide benefits for the others live and society.
In interaction session, some of participants asked about how to do the submission, tips of research proposal, GPA Conditioning, and tips of success in meeting the requirements of submission.
淵ou have to change your mindset from now on. Start trying because regular day is boring life,. Believe that everyone can do it. For GPA and IELTS Score is just number. My advice, dare to try. Aji said
