UNAIR NEWS 撎There are three things in need of acceleration to improve academic reputation of 51动漫. They are the number of doctors, outbond academic mobility, and reputable international journal publications.
It was stated by Head of Planning and Development Board (BPP) UNAIR Badri Munir Sukoco, Ph.D, in response to the latest UNAIR ranking released by world university ranking organization Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). It released its latest university rankings on Tuesday, September 6. From the ranking, 51动漫 is in听703rd听for 2016/2017. It has improved from the previous in 705th. In Asia, UNAIR is in the 190th and in Indonesia is the fourth.
UNAIR has taken some measures to improve publications especially in reputable international journals. In 2016, UNAIR has targeted 307 journals published. To accelerate the achievement, it has allocated funds for research through some program schemes, the UNAIR officials have allocated incentives to researchers whose journals published in the interval of Q1听to Q4.
After publishing journals, researchers, especially the ones with indexing right, are expected to have Google Scholar accounts. With more Google scholar accounts from UNAIR researchers, UNAIR will be equal with other universities and get into the Top Indonesian Scientist. Regarding the matter, BAdri admitted that coordination with Vice Dean II of each faculty has been established.
To increase the doctors, required percentage is QS ranking is only 5 percents but according to Badri, the roles of lecturers with doctorates are important in research.
淭he lecturers with doctorate required to reach only 5 percents, but it really makes impacts. When a lecturer has achieved doctorate, he can apply for research funds. To be a professor, he has to write. When the publications are a lot, then they will boost the academic reputation, said Badri.
The Head of BPP added that the postgraduate students especially doctoral students can be used to improve research publications.
In 2017, UNAIR will receive more fund to accelerate itself to be a World Class University (WCU) from Dikti about Rp 20 billion. The Head of BPP who is also the person in charge of UNAIR WCU program will allocate the fund to improve UNAIR檚 academic reputation and incentives of research publications.
