UNAIR NEWS Two units of motorbikes as grand prizes have attracted thousands of people for UNAIR Callisthenic and Fun Walk . They overflowed and crowded the yard of Management Office Building 51 in Campus C Mulyorejo, Sunday, April 30 when it was in the middle of long weekend. The next day was May Day, National Labor Day.
Were not going anywhere, last week was also long weekend. This event is for relaxing as Monday is also a holiday, who knows, I maybe got lucky, said Suhartoyo, a resident of Mulyorejo Gang Muhammadiyah who came with his family.
The employee of private company was right. The grand prizes, two motorbikes were believed to be the attracting factor for the overflowing participants in callisthenic event held by Faculty of Dental Medicine UNAIR which was themed Healthy Life Starts from Healthy Habits. According to Drs. Sutjoko, the committee has given out 2,000 coupons.
How cant be crowded, its holiday, we are invited to be healthy and provided with free meals and prizes. Everyone is happy, said the committee who was proud of the overflowing participants.
UNAIR officials attending the event were Director of Human Resources Dr. Purnawan Basundoro, SS., M.Hum., Director of Student Affairs Dr. M. Hadi Shubhan, SH., MH., CN., and some institute officials. From the faculties, there was Dean of Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Soetojo, dr., SpU(K), Dean of FKG Dr. Darmawan Setijanto, drg., M.Kes., Vice Dean I FKG Prof. Dr. Anita Yuliati, drg., M.Kes., Vice Dean II FKG Dr. Agung Sosiawan, drg., M.Kes., Dean of Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Drs..Shomad, SH., MH., Dean of FST Prof. Win Darmanto, Drs., M.Si., Met.Sci., PhD, and hundreds of UNAIR lecturers and staffs.
After the callisthenic exercise, there was a fun walk in Campus C area. The participants were given toothpaste as appreciation to dental hygiene. Then, there was breakfast session. During breakfast, there was a band performance from FKG students.
For the grand prizes, Dean of FKG Dr. Darmawan Setijanto presented two motorbikes to the lucky winners, Akbar Wibisono, FKG staff and Nur Saidi, a security guard worked in RSKI Campus C UNAIR. The grand prizes were from FKG and from Bank BNI.
Two university management staff also got the other prizes. Vice Dean II FKG gave the prizes to them. Agus got a two-door fridge and Gendon got a bicycle. Alhamdulillah, can be used to go to school by my child, said Gendon. Agus also stated his thank. Alhamdulillah, it can be used to sell some es lilin (cylindrical shaped ice), he said. (*)
