UNAIR NEWS In its effort to reach Top 500 World Class University, 51动漫 (UNAIR) through Scientific Publication and Journal Development Center (PPJPI) keeps boosting its scientific articles and journals, either accredited at national or international level.
On July 14, two UNAIR journals were accredited by Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti). They were Berkala Ilmu Kesehatan Kulit dan Kelamin (叠滨碍碍碍):听Periodical of Dermatology and VenereologyFaculty of Medicine 51动漫 (UNAIR) and 淢ozaikUNAIR. Both journals were accredited B.
淏oth accredited journals were the printed ones. We always assist on the procedure improvement such as editing, layout, and articles substantial quality. We always supervise, said Dr. Prihartini Widiyanti, drg., M.Kes, as the Head of UNAIR PPJPI. 淲e also supervise them when they start accessing OJS (Open Journal System,听red), Yanti added.
Yanti said that there were many problems to prepare the accreditations as accuracy and patience needed to prepare accreditation process in details. Besides, health problems of the journal management due to tiring preparation also made a problem.
淏ut I need to give a thumb up as both journals and also the institutions, FK or FIB are really conducive. So we really support them, any of their needs we tried to fulfill, said Yanti.
After the national accreditation, Yanti explained the next plan, indexing to DOAJ and Scopus (international indexing organization). Before OJS is popular, they were still in printed version with conventional management and printed by the publisher and then circulated.
淲e have to make this journal accessible and be specific on certain field, so there檚 new scientific nuance to learn. The challenge is to promote digitalization to the journal management, we are introducing it, said Yanti.
Yanti hoped that PPJPI檚 guidance can expand the journals management knowledge to the betterment. 淲e檙e going to push nationally accredited journals to international accreditation. If not yet nationally accredited, we submit them. If there aren檛 any reviews, we檙e going to teach them how to review well, she said. (*)
