UNAIR NEWS 揟wo 51动漫 students are not only intelligent but also skillful as they were chosen as two of ten representatives of Indonesian Archery. They were chosen by Indonesian University Sports Supervising Boards (BAPOMI) to participate in 18th ASEAN University Games (AUG) in Singapura on July 10-19 2016. The two young athletes are Della Adisty Handayani, Communication Science student and Tiara Sakti Ramadhani, Management student.
Della and Tiara are going with other archers from other universities in Indonesia. Interviewed by UNAIR NEWS, Director of Student Affairs UNAIR, Dr. Hadi Subhan, SH., MH., CN., said that his directorate totally supports any students activities which brings good reputation for the university.
淒irectorate of Student Affairs support all students ativities, especially which relates to international level competition, said Hadi Subhan in his office with the two athletes and their coach, Nilam Andalia Kurniasari, SH., LL.M. on Monday May 2.
Optimistic
Being asked about her preparation for the prestigious competition, Tiara replied that she was excited and she was also preparing for Sports and Arts Week (PON) next September. She hoped that this competition can be her first step to perform at international level.
淥ur preparation and practices are being done together with PON preparation, BAPOMI also has been watching over us for a while so we can participate in the ASEAN university students event, said Tiara.
Meanwhile, Della has targeted gold medal for the competition. Similar to Tiara, this event is also for PON preparation. Della has made many achievements as a young archery athlete, at national or international level such as 5 Gold medals in Junior National Championship 2010; 2 Gold medals and Bronze in General National Championship 2010; 2 Silver medals in Asian Grand Prix 2011, 1 Gold medal in PON 2012 Riau and 1 Gold Medal in SEA GAMES 2013 Myanmar.
