淚 hope we (academic staff) start to change. We will not only do administration office, but also could be part of human resource that participate in bringing UNAIR forward from any aspects, Said the Director of Human Resource UNAIR Dr. Purnawan Basundoro, M.Hum., during the interview with UNAIR NEWS.
According to Purnawan, he and team has prepared some programs to support quality enhancement of academic staff in UNAIR, such as foreign language course and staff exchange abroad.
In foreign language course, currently Directorate of Human Resource held France training course for UNAIR academic staff who interested in.
淚nitially, we are approached by France guest who wanted to learn Bahasa. We put his expertise to provide French Language Training course. And we made it formal. We expected not only lecturers but also staff to join the training, Purnawan said
The lecturer of History Department Faculty of Humanity UNAIR, said that it was possible to held other foreign language training course. This policy depended on request and needs of academic staff.
He said that the foireign language course was required for staff to improve the language ability. Furthermore, UNAIR visited by many foreign student and guest.
As the academic staff already capable of communicating in foreign languages, they will not hesitate to get along with the wider community. In October this year, the Human Resource Department will depart about ten academic staff to Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. It is aimed to learn about management in reputable university.
淚 expected that staff will learn much about work ethic from university abroad, how to manage university. Because in the future academic staff has main role, Purnawan said
Before departed to overseas for two week, the academic staffs will be required to arrange proposal and work plan. So, when the come to UNAIR, they will provide and apply their ability to enhance the management quality of university.
