UNAIR News Five students of 51动漫 (UNAIR) got another medals in national competition. This time, they got six medals in Gajah Mada Swimming Competitionheld on Saturday August 20. They were Komang Fenny Gita (FKG/2015), Intan Indah Ayu (FKG/2014), Sarah Salsabila ( FISIP/ 2015), Enita Audina Irmalia (FEB/2015), and Hezby Vierdausytha (Psikologi/2014).
The competition held in the Faculty of Sports Science UNY (Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta)was participated by 11 universities in Indonesia. Regarding the competition, Hezby Vierdausytha said that the preparation for the competition was done in a month.
淭he preparation ran well without any problems until the day of the competition, said Hezby.
From the event, UNAIR delegation got three silver medals in 4x50m medley relay in 2 m 29 s, 4x50m freestyle in 2 m 13 s and 50m butterfly by Intan Indah in36 seconds.
While for 50m butterfly, Hezby Vierdaustutha got bronze medal in 36 seconds, then 50m freestyle and 50m breaststroke, Enita Audina Irmalia got bronze medals in 40 seconds and 31 seconds.
淔or athletes coordination was easy as we had already known each other, we often met in competitions so we establish communication well, said Hezby.
Hezby hoped that Swimming UKM in UNAIR can be established soon. It is to facilitate and hone skills of UNAIR students who are interested or want to swim. Furthermore, Swimming UKM is expected to improve quality of UNAIR athletes with better facility. (*)
