UNAIR NEWS Looking at the potential collaboration in China, held a workshop entitled Efforts to Improve International Visibility.
The workshop was attended by Yaya Sutarya, a representative of the Indonesian Embassy in China and Mongolia.Thirty-sixUNAIRFaculty Ambassadorsattended theonlineworkshop on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.
In his presentation, Yaya Sutarya described theoverviewof Indonesias cooperation with the Peoples Republic of China (PRC), especially the use of education and research cooperation.
On that occasion, he explained the forms of bilateral relations between Indonesia and China, including the synergy of the global maritime axis withBelt-Road Initiatives(BRI).
In terms of the digital economy, he explained some of Chinas potential, such as its ability to have 162 unicorns by 2020,e-commercetransactionsreached USD 2.4 trillion, and the digital economy reached USD 4.2 trillion.
In addition to the potential for cooperation in the digital economy, Yaya continued his explanation on vaccine diplomacy, citizen protection diplomacy, education, and other potential fields.
The Indonesian Embassy in China also shared nine achievements of education reform in the country. First, the modern education mechanism is closing to perfection. Second, the development of balanced vocational education that achieves the nations progress. Third, the critical steps for equal distribution of education.
Fourth, curriculum and teaching reforms are developing in-depth. Fifth, the reform of the student admissions examination system achieved a new breakthrough. Sixth, the quality of education has steadily increased year after year.
Seventh, the theory of teaching and education develops towards prosperity. Eighth, investment in financial education continues to increase. And lastly, the quality of teaching team development is improved comprehensively and quickly.
Therefore, China is the prima donna country in the Asian region in terms of cooperation. Through this workshop, Nastiti as the representative of AGE, hoped to increase the potential of 51 as one of the best educational institutions in Indonesia.
By continuing cooperation, both with universities in China that are listed in theQS World University Ranking Top 100,and industry, as well as the Indonesian diaspora in China, she said.
