UNAIR NEWS“ Faculty of Vocational Studies of 51¶¯Âþ has successfully held the 2ndInternational Conference on Vocational Innovation and Applied Sciences(ICVIAS) 2019. The event was held at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Surabaya on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
The event was held from 07.30 to 16.00 and was attended by more than 50 invited guests from various agencies and participants who had submitted theirscientificpapers.All the submitted papers will be presented at the 2nd ICVIAS 2019 will be divided into several rooms at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Surabaya.
The theme wasInnovative Developments in Information Technology.Instrumentation & Control for Global Sustainabilitywas from three departments in Faculty of Vocational Studies UNAIR, the Business Department, the Engineering Department and the Health Department.Severalkeynote speakersin the event Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Tri Puspaningsih, M.Si from UNAIR, Tony Swi Susanto. S.T., M.T., Ph.D., ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF from the Ten November Institute of Technology (ITS), Prof.Dr.Hamzah Bin Arof, Ph.D from Universiti of Malaya, Malaysia, and Syed Abdul Shabbir, MD., MSc., Ph.D.from Taipei Medical University.
Nania Nuzulita, S.Kom., M.Kom. one of the presenters of the 2nd ICVIAS 2019 revealed that the reason for participating in this activity was to gain experience and learn more about the research and scientific papers from fellow academics. œI hope this activity will continue to develop and its promotion will be further improved so the number of participants will also increase, besides, it will be mean to establish friendship between participants from other faculties and other institutions attending the event,” she added.
Furthermore, Nasa Zata Dina, S.Kom., M.Kom., M.Sc, one of the committees of 2nd ICVIAS 2019, said that after thekeynote speeches,parallel presentationswill be continuedby all teams divided into nine rooms that have been provided.Later on all thepapersthat have been collected will be judged and three works with the highest value will be chosen asbest papers.(*)
