UNAIR NEWS Students are familiar with research. However, they often conduct research when they work on their theses. Therefore, Junior Research is a paper writing program from Research division which has quality academically. The program is oriented to international journal publications so students are directed to actualize their roles in research.
Through JuniorResearch, especially Research division, the program is expected to support the undergraduate program to publish their work internationally, at least at national level, said M. Vinka Lutfian, one of the members ofJuniorResearch.
In the program, each chosen member of the Junior research built teams of two. They are expected to write papers. They are guided by a lecturer, Rumayya Batubara, SE., M.Reg.Dev.,Ph.D every week. There is also weekly training to process the data, learn about the paper and improving writing skills. The paper progress is presented every week.
JuniorResearch is suitable to improve the students potential especially in research, added Oktavia Dewi, the member of Research Division.
Oktavia added that the lecturers involvement was optimized so the students and lecturers collaboration can improve UNAIRs publication. Struggle needs sacrifice. Therefore, the weekly training is held often.
In the future, all researches are expected to be published and supported at international level to provide opportunity in research. Therefore there will be more students joining. (*)
