UNAIR NEWS– 51动漫 was the first university to hold an event Money Printing Public Company of Republic Indonesia (Perum PERURI) Goes to Campus. The event which was a part of the company檚 corporate social responsibility (CSR) and concern to education was held in Garuda Mukti Hall on Wednesday June 15.
In his address, the President Director of Perum PERURI, Dr. Prasetio said that the event was a part of PERURI檚 effort to contribute in educating the nation. Furthermore, UNAIR Accounting alumnus also said that the event was held to learn any lessons in his three books reviewed that day.
淏eside to reminiscing with my alma mater, UNAIR is the first university we go. Hopefully, this event can give benefits to any academicians attending, he said.
The man born in Surabaya, on November 23 1960 also explained that the three books he wrote were his notes during his leadership as the executive in the company. The first book titled 淒ilema BUMN, was about his notes in making decisions. The second book titled 淚t Goes Without Saying was about discipline to a process and the third book titled 淥ut of Comfort Zone focused on strategical development.
淚 had the idea since I got into a state-owned company (BUMN), I started taking notes on policies I made. It is to anticipate if there檚 a review and this notes could help me, said Prasetio.
The event attended by UNAIR officials, Alumni Association representatives, and students from bachelor and master programs. It was also attended by UNAIR Rector, Prof. Dr. Moh. Nasih, SE., MT., Ak., CMA. In his address, UNAIR Rector said that Perum PERURI visit to UNAIR for a talk show and book review was already an academic tradition in UNAIR. Prof. Nasih also said this event held in a holy month Ramadan was special as in the book there were some notes about Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr檚 moment.
淭he book also talked about Ramadan as a month of introspection, and Eid al-Fitr as a moment of service and change, he said.
The professor of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR also added that through the event, UNAIR civitas academica, either lecturers or students will be inspired. According to him, if a busy director can publish books, lecturers should be able to do more.
淚f someone who isn檛 a lecture can publish books, we could do more. We should always work and the best legacy for academician is books, said Nasih.
