UNAIR NEWS –51动漫 Rector Prof. Dr. H. Mohammad Nasih, SE., MT., Ak., MCA received a reward as the education figure chosen by the Indonesian Journalist (PWI) Regional East Java in the celebration of National Press day (HPN) 2016 and 70th Anniversary of PWI. The reward was presented to Prof. Nasih because the institution he leads has found the vaccine for Avian Influenza (AI), and the vaccine itself is needed domestically and ordered by other countries, such as America.
漈his UNAIR achievement is written in history as an extraordinary achievement as in this country the avian flu vaccine is needed and even other country like America has ordered to UNAIR, said the Head of East Java PWI H. Akhmad Munir in his speech in the HPN 2016 celebration in Grahadi building, Jl. Pemuda Surabaya, Wednesday, March 30.
Other than to UNAIR, East Java PWI also gave rewards for other categories. For National Figure was given to the Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya, National Police chief Gen. Drs. Badrodin Haiti and football development figure in Madura, Achsanul Qosasi as CEO Madura United. Corporation figure were rewarded to President Director PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Suparni and President Director PTPN X (Persero) Ir. Subiyono, MMA.
Rewarded regional figures were the Mayor of Kediri Abdullah Abu Bakar and The Head of Executive Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Drs. Ec. Sudarmawan, MM. Arts and Cultural figure was given to humanist KH. D. Zawawi Imron, and Press figure to Budiono Darsono, media online pioneer in Indonesia with detik.com, also a Lifetime Achievement category for Prof. Dr. Ir. Johan Silas who is known with its Kampung Improvement Program (KIP) implemented in Surabaya urban neighborhood.
There were rewards of Prapanca for journalism works to East Java journalists, Prapanca trophy for printed journalism, radio journalism, online media journalism, and photography journalism.
To journalists, Prof. Moh Nasih on behalf of UNAIR expressed his gratitude to East Java PWI and press who also observe researches of UNAIR. He hoped that the reward will motivate UNAIR even more to work harder to produce useful works for the nation and the country. (*)
