UNAIR NEWS “There are 40 booths of national companies participated in the education and companyexhibition, Career, Scholarship and Entrepreneur Expo(ACSEE) held at Airlangga Convention Center (ACC), Tuesday, September 5.
Dozens of companies are competing to get the best graduates visiting the ACF held for two days.
Some of the bona fide companies are PT PLN (Persero), PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk, PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), CV Bangun Arta, PT Asuransi ASKRINDO Syariah, PT Perkebunan Nusantara XIV, PT PEGADAIAN, Bank Bukopin, PT CEMENT INDONESIA, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero), PT.Prodia Widyahusada, Tbk, PT.Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, and many other bona fide companies.
Head of UNAIR’s Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center (PPKK)Elly Munadziroh, MS, drg as event organizer hoped that human resources from UNAIR graduates able to meet the demand of each company.
“It is not only about job market, but also the scholarship and entrepreneurial bazaar.Hopefully our human resources meet the criteria of your companies, “said Elly in presence of leaders and representatives of each company.
In this corporate and educational exhibition, PT.PLN (Persero) for the first time took part among dozens of involved companies as well as a major sponsor.If previously PLN targeted technical-based colleges, this time PLN targeted UNAIR because of their need for human resources outside the technical field.
“At UNAIR all faculties exist, both technical and non-technical.Our non-technical aspect needs law, economics, statistics, and psychology.We need it, “said Director of Human Capital Management of State Electricity Company (PLN) (Persero) Moh Ali, SH.
Ali said that in 2017 PLN needs about four thousand new human resources.There are no specific numbers targeted for specific universities.All colleges have the same opportunity.
“There is no certain limit for any particular universities.Later we will take the best of the best, “he said.
Ali hoped that PLN’s participation in the exhibition and education this time, more and more UNAIR graduates will fill strategic positions in organizational structure in PLN.
“Previously we had many graduates of ITB and ITS.We hoped that UNAIR graduates will fill strategic positions in us, “he added.
This ACSEE does not only provide corporate booths, but also entrepreneurial products, education and scholarship.The scholarship booths among others are IDP, Japanese Consulate General, Edlink Connex, Aug, Sun Education, IFI, Nuffic Neso, Swedish Institute, Education USA, TEC, Asia University Taiwan, and AGE UNAIR.(*)
