UNAIR NEWS Eyes of UNAIR檚 future hajj pilgrims lit up with joy as they were sent off officially by Vice Rector II, Dr. Muhammad Madyan, M.Fin. There were 26 academics of UNAIR being sent off for holy pilgrimage.
The send off was held at Ulul Azmi Mosque Campus C UNAIR on Wednesday, July 26, attended by UNAIR officials and all UNAIR hajj pilgrims from Campus A, B and C.
Vice Rector II in his address expected them to be istiqomah in their pilgrimage. In his opinion, the right intention is needed along the journey so they can maximize their worships.
淪et your mind fully to worship only, don檛 do it half-heartedly, stated Madyan.
Madyan then uttered a prayer that other academics of UNAIR will have their chance to step on the Holy land for pilgrimage.
淚 wish prayer sent for us so we could go as well for pilgrimage. I hope the pilgrims will achieve success on the pilgrimage. I also hope all of you can return to Indonesia in good health, added Vice Rector II.
One of the lecturers going for pilgrimage is Dr. Rosmanida, M.Kes. She said that she has made a registration since 2010. She will leave with her husband on August 19.
She explained that going for pilgrimage is a promise made to herself for being able to finish her doctoral study.
Alhamdulillah I am happy that I can go this year as it has been expected for long. There檚 no more burden as my doctoral study is over as well, added the lecturer of Biology Department, Faculty of Science and Technology UNAIR.
Ustaz Abdul Sahab in his sermon encouraged the pilgrims to maintain piety as it will be needed for their journey of pilgrimage.
