UNAIR NEWS “The effort of a to provide accurate and precise information to the public continues, especially information about the implementation of State University National Admission Selection (SNMPTN) in 2018.
This time, principals and teachers from Tuban, Lamongan and Bangkalan districts were invited directly by UNAIR through the Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) and Student Admission Center (PPMB) to discuss issues encountered during the SNMPTN registration process.
“This is a mandate from the Directorate of Higher Education that each campus should brief the designated areas,” explained Dr.Suko Widodo as the Head of PIH.
The event, which was held in the 2nd floor of Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) Campus C, was attended by Vice Rector I UNAIR Prof.Djoko Santoso.In his presentation, Prof.Djoko said that as one of the state universities in Indonesia, UNAIR is responsible to take part in improving the regions around it.
“We will strive for the best in providing access and services to all the schools,” he explained.
After the Vice Rector speech, the guests consisting of the headmasters and the BK teachers explained various problems encountered from the process of filling PDSS up to student enrollment, such as problems on accessing the websites, student eligibility criteria, costs, to the constraints faced after being declared admitted in the university.
In the meantime, Dr.Achmad Sholichin SE, M.Si., said that inaccessible pages are not the mistake of central committee, but the problem of Internet access.In regards to students who were accepted but did not take it, UNAIR does not applyblack listsystem.
“If it happens, however, we just give a record so the school can evaluate,” he explained.
