UNAIR NEWS 51动漫 has been most referred by senior high school students for information regarding further studies after they finish high schools. It can be seen from their enthusiasm during Campus Expo in SMA Tunas Luhur Paiton-Probolinggo on Saturday, January 21. The event initiated by Alumni Forum of SMA Tunas Luhur was attended by 84 students of Class XII SMA Tunas Luhur and 10 students and a teacher from five other schools in Paiton.
The Campus Expo was held in a form of a talk show and education fair. It was participated by some universities in Indonesia, including UNAIR. UNAIR was represented by Anindya Anandita, S.Ikom staff of Information and Public Relations Center (PIH). She explained about UNAIR admission methods. There was also Wahyudi from International Development Program (IDP) who explained about how to study abroad especially in Australia.
In the occasion, Anindya explained that the quota of admission was different from the previous year. This year, National State University Admission Selection (SNMPTN) is at least 30 percent, State University Joint Selection Admission(SBMPTN) is 30 percent and Independent admission is also 30 percent.
淲e need to remind you that for this year檚 SNMPTN, students are given opportunity to verify the database of schools and students (PDSS) entered by the headmasters. If there is data which is different from the PDSS data and the authentic data, then the students re-registration will be deemed invalid. Schools will get sanction for manipulating the data. Therefore, all students must verify the PDSS data for SNMPTN registration, said Anindya.
Campus Expo is one of the efforts made by schools to provide information regarding college studies. At first, the counseling teachers looked for information by attending Campus Expo held by other institutions. But, it was not very effective. Therefore, the school held their own expo by inviting competent sources.
淚t was the second year Campus Expo in SMA Tunas Luhur, Paiton held. They used to hold conventional method where universities came one by one to provide information. As it was deemed ineffective, then we hold this Campus Expo, said Muhammad Rudi Hartono, S.Pd as the headmaster of SMA Tunas Luhur.
Students of SMA Tunas Luhur was familiar with UNAIR. When they were asked about their TOEFL or IELTS score by IDP representative, one of them had 600 TOEFL score as the school collaborates with Pusat Bahasa UNAIR. Every three months, a representative of Pusat Bahasa came to SMA Tunas Luhur to give a training. (*)
